Don't you hate it when you wake up and end up not knowing where you are ?
I don’t. It’s one of my favorite pure bliss moment, actually ; you basically forget about everything that's a big deal. Like the fact that you are in a zombie apocalypse. Shit I remember that. Great, now it’s ruined.

… I still have no clue about this place though. No clue at all.

Although it does look like a living room, and an old-fashioned one that is ; chimney made of visible bricks, velvet curtains (there's a dusty beam of light passing throught, so I assume It’s morning – at least I know when I am) ; and a gloomy decoration (weird-ass looking portraits and two skulls in the shelves) ; did I mention the number of books in here ? No I didn’t because it would take a while to count them.

I left the bearskin carpet (where I was sitting) to get close to the shelves, I reached for one random book aaand… it was gibberish. I tried my luck with two more but they were also written in a foreign language. When I went to take a look out the window, the sight was poor as fuck. Only grass, that’s it. I couldn’t open the window, and I’m not dumb enough to break it, the smash could wake up the deads.

It was clearly a home, or maybe a mansion ; he’d have to explore it to know for sure.

I'm usually slow at waking up but, I’m little too conscious at this point to not remember anything related to this location and…an–

And he sneezed really loud. It was really dusty in here.

"Well, apparently, you're not only less handsome than me, but also slower." I mimic his smile. I know, I shouldn't provoke him. I shouldn't say alot of things, but since I don't have a gun pointed at me, I won't be talked down. "But since I don't have an afro wig or a fake mustache in my bag, guess you'll have to go do--" "There's dresses somewhere upstairs."

Right, right. I nod. I saw those before. It's where I found the pants. See? It'll all work out. I'm sure I can get you some wigs too. We'll make ladies out of you yet. Oh, for us? I saw those dresses. I don't think my body will fit. And if it does, I'll make one nasty-looking lady. Watch them, will you? He said to Other-me. I'll get the rest of the outfits in town.

.... I need to sit down. "You have weird fetishes, wanting to see yourself in a dress that bad."
Turning into a lady ? Yeh sure, if it's done so well that no one can recognize me.
Well I don't know anyone in this town so... "Whatever." Ha !

And just like that, Other-Serah is gone. Presumably to do some shopping. I glance at Serah nervously, wondering if he'll have the same problems with those dresses. I also don't wanna seem eager, so I just wait for instructions.

Useful Riot is doing the watchdog wagain, not like we can escape. I turn to the useless Riot, he's giving me one of those looks I don't understand - maybe he just wants to go to the bathroom, maybe he's just eager to put a dress on. Nor sure. "What."

Well... What do we do? Are we supposed to wait for Other-Serah to get back? Will he bring other sizes, different items? Or do we have to try and fit in those tiny dresses upstairs? And even if we manage to get into them, what will we do next? Serah seems to think going back in town will solve all our problems, but I'm not sure. How do we leave this place if it ends up being an alternate universe? Can we even get home?

Apparently my other-me was not as down with the whole dressing-up concept as his Other-Serah colleague. I don't know what Serah was planning by pointing out the obvious to him. It was either get out in a costume or stay inside at gunpoint. The choice seemed obvious to me. Come on. Not used to drawing attention to myself. Umh... We want to get out of here, no?

"Oh shit, I forgot he could talk.". Well yeh, we want to get out. 'Was trying to mess up their collaboration a little bit. ''And you want us gone'' ''I want you dead." ''I don't think other Serah will be okay with that." "Oh yeh?" "Obviously. The same way you don't want him harmed'' I pat Riot on the shoulder. The other stares at me "So unless you're affraid to be scolded... I think we got a deal, here?'' He doesn't reply. That's a start.

HRP:

Wait, whaat. What's the deal. I don't get it. What happened. They speak in riddles to me. I was thinking of the dresses, not of escaping. Or did Serah just save us from an untimely death? I honestly don't get it. My confusion must be painted on my face right about now. Or something that looks like it, at least. People tend to misread my expressions anyway. I just stammer. Wh-whaat.

HRP:

He still dosen't reply, come on, he better decide before the other Serah comes back. What about Riot ? I pat him on the shoulder "Don't you worry." Or maybe he should ? He dosen't seem to care enough, usually. Well, worst case... we'll have to fit in those dresses.

Stammering didn't help. The whole thing was still vague and unclear to me. Serah wasn't of any help. He just tells me not to worry. Telling me not to worry just makes me worry. People only tell you not to worry when you're supposed to worry. I didn't even know I was supposed to. I wasn't worrying. But now I am.

HRP:

What. The fuck. Is happening. Serah gestures for me to follow him so I do. (Why though.) I guess it's just more comforting to follow someone I think I know than to remain alone with my other-self. There's something incredibly disturbing about that. Also no dress. That's good news, I think. But where are we going? What's the plan? Is Serah just improvising or does he actually have a preconceived strategy? Where— I start, but I don't finish my sentence.

HRP:

Seriously though. “Were you napping or something ?” I shake my head in disbelief and open the entrance door, speeding up a little to the car. “We’re getting out of this town of course.” I stop, and decide to take the passenger seat instead. “I’ll let you drive, my arm hurts as hell.” It hurts because of other Riot's mischief. “Don’t kill us though." Please.

There's so... few... buttons. The dashboard is nearly empty. I think the buttons I see are only there for basic comfort functions such as air conditioning and seat heating. (Why anyone would want a warm butt while driving is beyond me.) Very prehistoric, this vehicle. Ignition, gas, steering wheel. No flight possible, I guess. All right, all right. I guess I can play it old school. I turn the keys in the ignition and make the engine purr. Seatbelt? Just checking whether he's got it on.

Yeh yeh. I put it on and then I check the glove compartement - lots of odds and ends but nothing of real valu-- oh, there's a map. "Sweet." I try to unfold it.

I should've paid more attention, probably. But I didn't. I didn't see Serah opening the map. My foot was already on the gas. The adrenaline coursing through my veins told me I had started the car like a madman, ripping off the road and into the big unending field that surrounded the mansion. Whiplash could've ensued. Sorry?

Nothing kickstarts the system like a dash of adrenaline, eh ? Well I didn't need that, my system works just fine, thank you. I mean fuck you. I gritted my teeth but I kinda saw it coming. I'm pressed against the backrest, I would like to take a look at the map, but I'm affraid if I take my eyes away from the road I won't see what's gonna kill me. "SLOW DOWN!"

HRP:

I'm in my element. The speed feels ok, I guess. I wish this old machine could go faster. There's also way less control because of the wheels. I'm used to 360° control ; this feels very old-fashioned. I suppose I can see the appeal of it, somewhat, but I still like flying better. Hm, what? Serah's screaming something at me. I glance at him, taking my eyes of the road. What?

HRP:

" DON'T LOOK AT ME THE ROAD YOU IDIOT " I almost slammed my hand against his face to turn it toward the road. I'm loosing my shit. At this point, If he suddenly brakes, I won't be surprised if my heart goes out of my chest and crashes against the windscreen.

Uh-ooh. I think he's flippin' out again. He must not like vehicles or something. I heard some people are afraid of flying. I can't really wrap my head around the concept, but I should be respectful of his fears. I turn my attention to the road again, but really need his input for something. Um but... The car veers off the dust road. I readjust the course, make a speedy u-turn, and land on a highway. Where to... ?

HRP:

"Maybe if you slow down we'd know where we're heading ?!" This guy, I swear to god. What the HELL ?! AH fuck, I bitted my tongue. If I don't stop him I'm gonna loose more than my tongue next time. "ALRIGHT STOP, M'GONNA DRIVE!" I gesture to him to slow down (in a panicky way).
